I was banned from buying clothes from their website because I buy too much! Is that a joke or what?

I placed an order online on Feb 11. It has been canceled. This order is for my family.It is not a surprised that they have tons of complaints.

They send me this :

"This order was canceled and we will not accept future orders from you. Abercrombie & Fitch is a private label brand and to protect our intellectual property rights, suspected resale of our merchandise for personal or business profit is strictly prohibited. For additional information regarding our Resale Policy, you can click here."

They think everyone is criminal.

This is the problem with America. We buy more *** that we don't need with money that we dont have to impress people that we don't like.

On the Flip side yea America is obese, and if you want to shop at Hollister than put down the fork... Kind regars

Got a sale flyer from hotlist er ordered 3 pairs of jeans one for each kid. They never arrived, so I called them.

Was told that the order was cancelled, no other explanation just cancelled. Well too bad fort them I will spend my back to school money elsewhere.

Guest

wow. just got my answer.

I've been banned too:).

I was reselling to the UK though. This so ***.

Got banned as well. I have kids and they like Hollister so during a red-line sale we ordered a lot of stuff.

The order was cancelled then they accused my of reselling. I tried to talk to them but they ignored me. They acted as if they were mad at me or something. It's as if they are paranoid someone is going to sell their stuff.

Who cares what people do with their stuff after they buy it. Can you imagine Chevy not selling you a car because they are worried you might resale it? Silly! Horrible company.

If you do research you will find that their factories are sweat shops and their hiring practices are clearly discriminatory. I won't be buying anything from them ever again.

If you really think they're "losing orders" or "cancelling orders" on purpose just to try to get more shipping charges from you, that is called Federal RICO. It's punishable by a minimum of 30 years in prison (for any person who knowingly participates - even if they are a customer service agent - and they are already under Federal investigation.

I know this because my ex who I still communicate with is a Federal prosecutor.

They are likely closing many stores due to this issue because they likely are aware of the present investigation. :roll :roll :roll

@Janaina

I was really pissed and said I would never buy from them again.Then 3 months later,around September I get a discount coupon in the mail and thought okay,what's this about?I went on the site and purchased 5 items and it went through.I have placed two orders since Jan.and they went through too.BTW,our local store closed Dec.26 and two other stores about 50 miles from my area have closed.They plan on closing about 80 stores by 2015.The CEO of this company just doesn't get it.Hope this helps and good luck.

Just had the same thing happen to me!

I placed an order at Hollister.com Feb 24Th.

The order went through just fine...

then 4 days later I placed an order at A&F and this time my order was cancelled.

I called to find out what happened and they said I would receive an email explaining why.

The email was a computer generated email saying:

"Janaina,

This order was canceled and we will not accept future orders from you. Abercrombie & Fitch is a private label brand and to protect our intellectual property rights, suspected resale of our merchandise for personal or business profit is strictly prohibited."

How can I be resaling when I only ordered 8 items!?? Does tha make any sense?

@Robb

You said you had your orders cancelled 3 times, but they didn't ban you...so how long after you had your last order cancelled, were you able to buy from their website again???

also...How many items did they allow you to purchase?

Guest

Yeah,A&F did that to me last summer.They did not ban me but canceled my orders like 3 times.They want you to buy 1 or 2 items at a time so they can stick you with their $15 shipping charge with each order.I don't understand how a company can make a profit if they refuse to sell you their product.Did they not get the memo on this?BTW,you can go to a store and purchase a large amount and they say nothing about brand protection.
